Arrogance, athleticism and American pride all collide to create the larger than life persona of Jack Swagger. At 6-foot-6, 263 pounds, Swagger first came to WWE in 2008 as part of then-ECW General Manager Theodore Longs New Superstar Initiative and became one of most successful products of Long’s program.Growing up, Swagger was enamored with sports-entertainment greats Danny Hodge and "Dr. Death" Steve Williams, both of whom would personally help the Superstar on his career path. First becoming involved in competition at agefive and attending a high school that boasted several state wrestling championships, he quickly developed into an outstanding amateur grappler, becoming a two-time high school heavyweight state champion. In true American fashion, he earned a full scholarship to a Division I school in bothwrestling and football.Swaggers tremendous amateur background carried him into the world of WWE, in a manner reminiscent of such legends as Bob Backlund and WWE Hall of Famers Jack and Gerald Brisco. His defined technique brought a completely different competitive style to ECW, and the WWE Universe took notice of his impressive combination of strength, ability and squared circle acumen, all complementing his physique and charisma. At WrestleMania XXVI, Swagger reached a new level of greatness when he overcame nine other Superstars to win the spectacular Money in the Bank briefcase on The Grandest Stage of Them All. Just five days later, Swagger stunned the WWE Universe by cashing inhis title opportunity against Chris Jericho to become the new World Heavyweight Champion. After a three-month losing streak, Swagger announced in September 2012 that he would be taking some extended time off. Five months later, he returned toWWE looking re-energized and even more aggressive. He appeared with Zeb Colter, who had some controversial words about what it means to be a "Real American," like himself and Swagger. After WrestleMania 29 in April 2013, they joined forces with Cesaro to form The Real Americans and spread their "We The People!" message across the WWE Universe. As a tag team, their success was up and down and sometimes tense. After Cesaroshockingly proclaimed his allegiance to Paul Heyman, Swagger destroyed the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal trophy Cesaro won at WrestleMania 30, and soon after their tag team partnershipwas history.Swagger lost via count-out to Rusev at Battleground. Their rivalry continued all the way to SummerSlam where they competed in a Flag Match, where The Real American passed out rather than tap-out to the Accolade. At Survivor Series 2014 Kickoff, Swagger successfully stood up to Cesaro, who Swagger forced to tap out to The Patriot Lock. The Real Americans rivalry with Rusev reignited after The Super Athlete assaulted Zeb Colter. Swagger vowed to break his Russian foes ankle, but found himself trapped in the Accolade once again, with no choice but to submit at WWE TLC 2014.When Colter aligned with Alberto Del Rio in fall 2015, Swagger became confused for why his former mentor turned his back on him. His showing of concern for Colter put Swagger on Del Rio’s bad side, causing a Chairs Match at WWE TLC for Del Rio’s United States Championship. Unfortunately for the All-American, Del Rio managed to walk out of WWE TLC still the U.S. Champion.

WWE superstar jerry Lawler photos and history or bio

Career Highlights:AWA World Champion; WCCW Champion; 2007 WWE Hall of Fame Inductee.

It’s good to be the king. Just ask Jerry Lawler.Reigning over sports-entertainment since the 1970s, Jerry “The King” Lawler has thrilled in the ring as the pride of Memphis, Tenn. and entertained from the announce table as Raw’s most irrepressible broadcaster. Effective as both a hero and villain, The King enragedWWE fans when he offended Bret Hart’s parents during a personal rivalry with The Hit Man and then inspired them when he stepped in the ring to challengeThe Miz for the WWE Title at 61 years of age. This aptitude for every aspect of sports-entertainment has earned Lawler countless titles, legions of fans and entryinto the WWE Hall of Fame. Before all that, though, The King made his name in the Tennessee area prior to gaining national attention for his rivalry with comedian Andy Kaufman. Claiming to be the "Inter-Gender Wrestling Champion of the World,” Kaufman made the mistake of insulting The King in front of his hometown crowd in the Mid-SouthColiseum in 1982. Lawler responded by blasting the “Taxi” actor with two piledrivers, which led to an incendiary showdown on “Late Night with David Letterman.” During a tense interview on the program, Kaufman once again offended The King, leading Lawler to slapthe comic right out of his chair in front ofa shocked studio audience.  Fifteen years later, the WWE Hall of Famer recreated this legendary TV moment withJim Carrey on the set of the Andy Kaufman biopic, “Man on the Moon.”After dispatching of Kaufman, The King ruled over promotions like Minnesota’s AWA and Tennessee’s USWA before finally arriving in WWE in 1992. Caustic from the get go, Lawler used his sharp wit to rile up rivals like Bret “Hit Man” Hart and Doink the Clown before taking aseat at the announce booth to commentate alongside Jim Ross. Together, the duo formed one of sports-entertainment’s most entertaining broadcast teams as they deftly called theaction of WWE’s booming “Attitude Era.”Lawler’s voice has remained a staple of WWE programming ever since, but that hasn’t stopped him from getting in the ring. Often noted as one of the greatest Superstars to never hold the WWE Championship, The King nearly beat The Miz for the coveted title at Elimination Chamber in 2011 and took on his sniveling broadcast partner, Michael Cole, at WrestleMania XXVII. Competing in his fifth decade as a wrestler, Lawler proved that his piledriver — just like his wit — was still as devastating as ever. However, Lawlers greatest triumph occured oustide the ring. On November 12, 2012, he suffered a heart attack during Raw on live television! Miraculously, Lawler survived, made a full recovery and still competes in the ring. Long live "The King"!
