He’s graceful. He’s dashing. He’s Fandango and he’s bringing a style all his own to the WWE Universe. Mind if he cuts in?Apologies if you were expecting another Neanderthal in leather underwear. That’s not the tune this self-styled Superstar dances to. First introduced to the WWE Universe in a series of vignettes that showed him moving seductively in a nightclub with a gorgeous woman, Fandango made it clear that he’s not interested in following typical WWE trends. When this nimble competitor is inthe spotlight, he leads.Still, don’t mistake Fandango’s light feet for a soft touch. At 6-foot-4 with a muscular 244-pound build, the performer is more than capable of busting a move — both on the dance floor and in the ring. With more style thana stack of GQ magazines, Fandango is in WWE to prove that ruthless aggression and animal strength aren’t the only ways to find success in sports-entertainment. Sometimes, a little rhythm goes a long way.Since his earliest appearances on Raw and SmackDown, Fandango has taken exception to others’ inability to properly pronounce his name (it’s FAHN-DAHN-GO). The dancing Superstar made this a habit, repeatedly declining to participate in his planned matches, causing many WWE fans to wonder if the enigmatic Superstar would ever actually enter a WWE ring.Chris Jericho’s humorous mangling of Fandango’s name proved to be the push the dancing Superstar needed. Fandango finally had his first WWE “dance” at WrestleMania 29, where he defeated Chris Jericho.Furthering Fandango’s momentum, the following night was also the birth of a new WWE craze and global phenomenon: “Fandangoing.” With the WWE Universe singing and dancing along with his every move — and the gorgeous Summer Rae on his arm — Fandango went toe-to-toe with the likes of Y2J, Bad News Barrett Barrett, Kofi Kingston and more.But in April 2014, he dropped a bombshell on his bombshell, tweeting that he was breaking things off with Summer Rae. The fleet-footed Superstar entered a relationship with Layla, but he soon found himself in Layla and Summer’s crosshairs, as they united to make his life miserable. Fandango once again found love, though, in a budding romance with Rosa Mendes in early 2015. A Diva who dances like no one’s watching and can pack a mean punch, Emma boasts a wacky attitude and quirky confidence that would make even the boldest men raise an eyebrow. This lively Diva is known for punctuating her victories with a unique dance that has left the WWE Universe befuddled. But Emma insists its significance is simple: “It’s my victory dance,” she says. “It reminds me to celebrate the fact that I am, indeed, a winner.”The NXT Diva was first spotted among the WWE Universe on the Jan. 13 edition of Raw, proudly holding up signs displaying her trademark #EMMAisms in the weeks that followed. On the Feb. 3 edition of Raw, the sign-toting Diva was called into the ring by Santino Marella to take his place in a dance-off against Summer Rae. Emma made the most of her first appearance inside a WWE ring by boogieing her way to victory over Fandango’s sultry dance partner and putting on a truly #EMMAtaining performance.Emma showed she is capable of delivering much more than just sweet dance moves. The spirited Diva showcased an impressive array of in-ring maneuvers that include the Dil-Emma, Emmamite Sandwich and trademark Emma Lock. Emma’s displays of aggression and in-ring prowess impressed Santino so much that he nearly locked lips with The Dancing Queen.On the Feb. 24 edition of Raw, Emma defeated Summer Rae in her first WWE match, forcing Fandango’s dance partnertap to the Emma Lock. Since her debut, the Australian Diva has successfully employed the #EMMAmazing submission maneuver on numerous occasions. Despite an impressive showing at WrestleMania 30, Emma was unable to walk out of the Vickie Guerrero Divas Invitational victorious.Outside of the squared circle, Emma and Santino had a brief, clumsy relationship that led to often comical and abrupt conclusions to their close encounters. Unfortunately for the dancing Diva, things with Marella never panned out and the two eventually went their separate ways.At Survivor Series 2014, Emma was on the winning side of a Divas Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Tag Team Match.Since then, Emma has returned to WWE NXT. Now feeling scorned, “The Bubbly One” seems to possess a new edge and attitude, which she has used to throw zings at fellow upbeat Diva Bayley. It’ll beinteresting to see if this new outlook of hers will soon be reflected in the ring.While it remains to be seen what the future holds for Emma, one thing’s for sure: The #EMMAlution is far from over.
